Body Confidence After Pregnancy
Body confidence, especially post baby, is SO important to work on. It’s a mental game where we have to learn to love our bodies & be proud of them.
As a new mom, it’s easy to doubt yourself daily. I mean, if we’re being honest, we have no f*cking clue what we’re doing. That goes for caring for our child & ourselves.
From my experience, we’re in this foreign body + mindset and it can be really difficult to navigate. Especially, with all the hormones
It’s important to:
+be patient with yourself. You’ll go through highs & lows but it’s the highs that should be celebrated (because moms need love too) & the lows that should be recognized and cared for.
+focus on your nutrition, especially in the early weeks when fitness isn’t recommended. Remember that abs are made in the kitchen!
+make time for yourself. It can seem impossible, especially during the first few weeks, but even a 5 min meditation, a short walk, a longer shower... whatever. You shouldn’t lose sight of who you are.
+when you finally can start your new fitness journey, take it slow!! I can’t stress this enough. Results will follow but your body needs time to recover & feel like itself again. TBH, I still don’t feel like myself!!
+know that it’s ALL worth it. Xx
